Major Concepts:
Calculus is the study of derivatives and integrals. It is highly recommended for college bound students. The Calculus course reviews major concepts for previous years of math including matrix equations, functions, trigonometry, logarithmic functions, and other basic algebra concepts. Calculus then delves into the concept of limits, detailed instruction on how to find derivatives of many types of functions, and how to find the integral of functions.

Special Note:
Calculators are allowed but not required.
Intended Outcomes:
After completing this course, students will have an increased knowledge of calculus concepts, including, but not restricted to:

· slope and equation of a tangent line
· derivatives of various functions

· applications of derivatives and integrals
Grading:
Students are graded on all homework, including book work and worksheets; they are also graded on quizzes and tests.
