Major Concepts:
The purpose of this course is to review advanced algebraic concepts and to learn more advanced mathematical skills. It is highly recommended for college bound students.
Content:
The content shall include but not limited to the following:
· Students will learn what linear equations and functions are.
· Students will learn how to solve a system of equations.
· Students will learn trigonometry.
· Students will learn what vectors and parametric equations are.
· Students will learn to recognize conics.
· Students will learn to solve exponential and logarithmic functions.
· Students will learn to recognize series and sequences.
· Students will get a brief introduction to Calculus.
Special Note:
Calculators are allowed but not required.
Intended
Outcomes:
After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:
· Take Calculus.
· Have an increased knowledge of advanced algebraic concepts.
Grading:
Students are graded on all homework, including book work and worksheets; they are also graded on quizzes and tests.
