FHLA (Future Hispanics Leaders of America) is a club designed to help all Latin students to get a higher education. They help them with all of the College applications, information about scholar ships, and they get them involved with the community.
Throughout the year they do many things. The very first important thing is attend an anual FHLA state meeting. The meeitng is in Boise State University and they are informed about most things involving college life. There they get the chance to meet new people, have fun, and learn more about them.
This year Melba's FHLA is going to host an FHLA State Meeting in the Spring, adopt a family for Thanksgiveing and Christmass, make the Christmass party we have every year, and many more things.
In order to be in FHLA you have to pay the $5.00 fee, and want to learn about college. We have two advisors, Mrs. Cebolla and Ms. Walker. We also have officials and members.
