Congratulations to the Melba Boys Track & Field Team which placed 2nd in a three-way tie at the State 2A Finals. Wyatt Helm is the Triple Jump state champion and Micah Spatz is the 300 meter Hurdles state champion. Way to go Mustangs!

Mr. Capps and Mrs. Nelson's Fifth Grade classes held a State Fair on Wednesday, May 15, to celebrate the completion of research on all fifty states. Each student did a project on a state. All the students from the school their and families were invited to attend the fair. The desks were decorated to reflect the state projects, there were food samples, and students explained about their states. Below are pictures from the fair:

Melba won the opportunity to go to State after defeating Marsing in game 5 of the playoff tournament.. The score was Melba 6 Marsing 2. Coach Hamilton says "This was the most intense game that I have ever had in the 5 years I have coached in Melba. Having the students there to watch and support was great. We are so excited to be going to State at Rodeo Park in Nampa. Come support Mustang Baseball!"

Any 7th – 12th grader interested in traveling to Washington DC next spring, March 24-28, 2014, please see Vonnie Herman for an information packet. There will be a parent meeting with more information on Friday, March 15, at 6pm in the room 100 during the parent - teacher conferences.
